Saturday 22nd July 2017
Street Leagiue - Match 2
2:00 pm ko @ Drumcoo, Dungannon

Killymoon went on the attack from the off, with Killymoon's Czech midfielder Gucci having a shot saved by the keeper in the first minute, the defender's block taking the sting out of the shot. The youthful Tigers team, with a just few older players, took the lead three minutes later. A free kick 25 yards out, from Jose Cunha, beat the wall and Kyle Dobson in goals (0-1).
Killymoon then mounted a series of attacks. Gucci fired another long range shot wide. A long throw was cleared off the line. Soon after, a close range header from Chris McNicholl from a great cross by Dylan Coyle went straight into the keeper's hands.
On 14 minutes the teams were level, Chris McNicholl curling in a shot from the corner of the box after some excellent build up play between Coyle and Blake (1-1). In response, Dungannon Tigers had a free kick cleared and it then went from end to end with no chances of note. Both teams then threatened with Chris McNicholl putting a shot wide at one end and Tigers replied with a shot wide from the edge of the box.
A mistake in the Moon defence earned the Tigers a corner, the header being tipped over the bar by Kyle Dobson. William Frizelle cleared the danger the next time the Tigers threatened, and Jamie O'Neill, his partner in defence, was also forced to clear the danger. Killymoon weathered the storm and came back into the game. Stuart Donaghy won a free kick thirty yards out. Gucci took the free kick and forced the keeper into a brilliant save. A dangerous cross from David Frizelle on the right was met by Stuart Donaghy. His goal-bound header was turned round the post by the keeper. The resulting corner was cleared by the Tigers' defence.
Minutes later another attack from Killymoon built up on the edge of the box, which culminated with the Tigers' goalkeeper keep out captain Donaghy's low shot with his legs, the rebounding ball not being converted. Ciaran Blake, Dylan Coyle and Chris McNicholl all had chances but could not score. Blake's effort in particular, from 30 yards, forced a spectacular save from the in-form Dungannon Tigers goalkeeper.
Only a few minutes later after gaining some possession, Dungannon Tigers went up the field and Miquel Ximmas scored a wonder goal with real pace from 35 yards, Kyle Dobson could only watch on as it flew in (1-2).

Paul McVey came on at half time for Dylan Coyle. A free kick two minutes into the second half for Tigers forced Kyle to be on his toes and make a save. Killymoon then won two free kicks in quick succession and scored from the second one, centre-half Jamie O'Neill getting on the end of a Ciaran Blake's free kick to head in (2-2).
On 55 minutes a good move involving Blake, Gucci and Kieran Thompson kept the pressure on the Tigers and a minute later Killymoon were in front, William Frizelle scoring from the spot after Donaghy was pulled down in the box to win his side a penalty (3-2). Killymoon almost went further ahead from another Jamie O'Neill, but his header was cleared off the line by a defender with the keeper beaten.
Substitutes were being made by both sides and this took the sting out of the game for 10-15 minutes. Returning striker Shea O'Neill came on for Killymoon, and almost immediately forced the keeper to make a save with a left footed shot from the edge of the box through the defenders legs. The Tigers won a free kick on 73 minutes after working their way back into the game. The resulting header downwards was met by Mantas who scored to make it 3-3.
On 77 minutes Killymoon were reduced to 10 men, having used all five substitutes. David Frizelle sprained his ankle and the injured defender had to come off. Killymoon dug deep and continuing to press.
In the 84th minute Killymoon won a free kick 30 yards out. Up stepped Christopher McNicholl, who skilfully dipped the ball over the wall and into the top corner of the net (4-3). It was a goal worthy of winning any game, securing all 3 points. McNicholl has now scored four goals in two games, for the quiet man with the magic right foot.
