Ballymena League - Division 1
2:00pm ko @ Beechway
Killymoon Rangers hosted local rivals Cookstown RBL Reserves at Fairhill Park on Saturday afternoon in their fifth league fixture of the year. The match was kindly sponsored by The Oldtown Inn Bar & Restaurant and saw Killymoon Rangers come out on top, making it four league wins in a row.
Killymoon hosted Brantwood Reserves in their first home league game of the season at Beechway Playing Fields Cookstown on Saturday 29th September.
The home team dominated from the get-go, despite a large number of regular players missing from action including Richard Donaghy, Christopher McNicholl, Stuart Donaghy, Robert Allen, Davy Frizelle and Nathan Coyle to name but a few.
Killymoon managed to notch up three well worked goals from an array of chances, with the Cookstown side probably feeling like more chances should have been converted on the day.
Goals came from Shane Devlin, Ciaran Blake and Simon Grimes.
Unfortunately a clean sheet wasn't to be for the Killymoon Rangers backline and goalkeeper as Brantwood pulled one back themselves, making the game that little bit more tense towards the end.
It was a great team performance, bouncing back from a very disappointing result last week in the Irish Cup. Killymoon now have four points from their first three league games under new manager Graeme McKenzie in what's proving to be a very competitive and exciting division.
Man of the match, picked by the supporters, (sponsored by S.D.) went to Shane Devlin. The award was presented by Gareth Moran, whose daughter Olivia kindly sponsored Saturday's home fixture.

Next week Killymoon travel to neighbouring side Desertmartin for a local derby hoping for another three vital points to add to the tally.
